Persons with disabilities experience a range of health inequities, including premature deaths, poorer health and increased risk of diseases. These health inequities are both, unfair and avoidable, and are driven by barriers within and beyond the health sector. The WHO Disability Health Equity Network, launched on November 12th and 13th 2025 at the World Health Organization's headquarters in Geneva, aims to advance health equity for persons with disabilities by?

1. building leadership on health equity among persons with disabilities,?
2. elevating health equity for persons with disabilities as a political priority in health,?
3. creating a disability inclusive health sector, and?
4. establishing robust indicators, evidence and monitoring.?

The Chair of Inclusive Health Care is member of the Network; Birgit Prodinger is also member of the Foundational Committee of the Network.?
