Our field of research lies at the interface between medical data science, data integration and clinical research. Our work currently focuses on three main areas:

• Integration of clinical data, biomedical prior knowledge and omics data to promote systems medicine.
• Development of infrastructures for data integration in clinical research, particularly in the context of personalised medicine.
• Conception and development of the Augsburg contribution to the DIFUTURE project as part of the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】ical Informatics Initiative (MII) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Our previous work includes the analysis of omics data, modelling approaches for biomedical knowledge and the development of software and infrastructures for systems medicine.

In the area of teaching, we offer insights into medical informatics, in particular IT infrastructures for clinical routine and research as well as information management in healthcare. Our teaching programmes include seminars, internships and theses to provide a comprehensive understanding.
