Career
Dr Andreas Kullick has been a senior lecturer in the Department of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg since 1 February 2024. He studied at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Education in Karlsruhe to become a primary and secondary school teacher, specialising in English, history, social studies, and media education.?Following his second state examination, he spent many years working as a teacher and teacher trainer, as well as serving on the commission responsible for designing final English examinations at secondary schools in Baden-Württemberg. Dr Kullick holds a Master's degree in Sociology of Sport from the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Leicester and a PhD in English from the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Education in Schw?bisch Gmünd, obtained through the research programme 'Heterogenit?t gestalten – starke Grundschulen entwickeln' ('Shaping heterogeneity – developing strong primary schools'). Dr Kullick also works as a speaker, teacher trainer, and consultant.?
Research
His research focusses in particular on the following areas:
- Heterogeneity in the EFL classroom
- Technology-enhanced language learning and teaching
- Task-supported language learning and teaching (TSLLT)
- Oral communicative competence in EFL learning?
He has also recently worked on the impact of Virtual Exchanges (VEs) in teacher training as part of the European Erasmus+ project VALIANT (Virtual Innovation and Support Networks for Teachers).
