Upcoming Event: Excursion to Ulm
?
Saturday, 29 November 2025
Start into the Advent season with our festive excursion to Ulm in the neighboring state of Baden-W¨¹rttemberg!
Our visit includes a guided city tour of the historic old town with its famous M¨¹nster, followed by lunch together at the restaurant
Zum Haberfelder (non-alcoholic & vegetarian/vegan options available).
After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to explore Ulm's traditional
Christmas market, with its festive lights, seasonal treats, and numerous gift-shopping options.
The Welcome Service will cover the costs of the guided city tour in English. Food and drinks at the restaurant (approx. €20) and at the Christmas market will be at your own expense.
You can register online via our registration form by Thursday, 20 November. Places are limited. Accompanying persons (over the age of 18) can only attend if places are still available.
Events Offered
Every semester, the Welcome Service offers researchers from abroad a varied program of events with excursions and regular get-togethers, which often leave a lasting impression on participants.
In an informal and international atmosphere, our events enable researchers to establish interdisciplinary and cross-faculty contacts that contribute significantly to a successful research stay at the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg.
Our offer of events ranges from city trips and museum visits to boat rides and hikes in the countryside. In addition to the most important sights in Bavaria, such as Neuschwanstein Castle or the state capital of Munich, the program also includes ¡®hidden gems¡¯ such as the medieval town of Landsberg am Lech or the Partnach Gorge.
